Memories, not hangover, is what I'll remember. Yes, we are infected with kid germs that are stronger then flu shots and other meds. But it is well worth a sore throat or runny nose to have the family all together celebrating the greatest gift God has given us. Each other.

Forget the gifts, candy, Mom's cookies, the food, the songs the material things. remember the hugs and kisses. The do it agains and the 1 more times from little voices. Remember the smily faces and laughter of the kids and grown ups. The way their eyes lit up on seeing Santa. That is what I'll remember!

Tonight we celebrate the end of another year and welcome in a New Year. We made it through with a few ups and downs, some bumps and brusies but we made it together. 2009 is an open book with blank pages to be filled in. Some pages will be filled with sorrows but most will be filled with happiness and joy if we follow our hearts. There is nothing that we can't accomplish if we try and never give up.

When fear knocks on my door I will open it with faith and hope by my side and fear will fade away like a wisp of smoke.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
